BENGALURU: Coursera, the online education company, has partnered with Manipal Global Education Services (MaGE) to offer curated educational content to Manipal Global’s learners and alumni community.

This will allow Manipal learners initial access to more than 60 specializations and certificate programs from Coursera’s university partners. Coursera offers courses and learning experiences from the world's top universities and education institutions including Stanford University, University of Pennsylvania, Johns Hopkins University and Duke University. Coursera has more than 21 million registered learners worldwide who can access over 1,400 courses and specializations in dozens of topics.

The learners can skill and up-skill themselves in areas such as data science, analytics, computer science and management. At the end of the programme, the learners will receive certifications from Coursera, the international university offering them and the Manipal Education Group.

“Our learners will now have greater access to curated content from world renowned universities through Coursera. This in turn will help improve the employability of youth in our country by supplementing their core education with skills in upcoming areas like Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things and Blockchain,” said Vaitheeswaran S, Managing Director & CEO of Manipal Global.

Manipal Global will enhance the learning experience by supplementing Coursera content with contextually relevant course material such as local case studies. Learners will have access to all the content through a single sign-on.

“We realized that one of the best ways we could scale the impact of Coursera and our university partners was by working with the organizations that already support people in their careers. In this regard, Coursera has chosen Manipal Global, known for its quality, deep engagement and commitment to learners, as its first enterprise knowledge partner in India,” said Nikhil Sinha, Chief Business Officer, Coursera.
