“Acquiring Tellephant is a step towards enabling deeper solutions for ecommerce brands and helping them further scale their business. With KwikChat, we aim to boost revenues for over ecommerce brands straight out of WhatsApp which has become an increasingly important channel for brands to drive marketing automation campaigns as well as to ensure superior customer experience,” said Chirag Taneja, cofounder, Gokwik.

Founded in 2020 by Krishna Pinapatruni, Suhas Entur, and Varun Kapoor, the firm is focused on providing brands with conversation as a service and has enabled over 300 ecommerce brands to promote, sell, and provide support through WhatsApp. KwikChat will help brands form a connection with their shoppers through WhatsApp conversations, and enable them to make end-to-end journeys on the Meta-backed platform thus driving conversions, increasing ROI and enabling further growth for these brands, it said in a statement.

Ecommerce platforms often find high return orders (RTO) and abandoned checkout a challenge in the business. With products such as Kwik Checkout and RTO Protection, GoKwik has been helping brands cater to this challenge and unlock their revenue growth. KwikChat helps brands increase abandoned checkout conversion by 20%. In addition, it is also enabling retention by improving feedback and review rates significantly.

“GoKwik is deeply invested in enabling e-commerce, and fostering growth is a mission that we have been in sync with from the beginning. We eagerly anticipate the direction GoKwik will steer the Tellephant brand, and we are confident it will significantly influence the landscape of e-commerce through WhatsApp,” said Kapoor.

With this product, GoKwik has powered over 335 million conversations on WhatsApp for its partner brands. Some of the big players in the D2C industry like FireBoltt, Pilgrim, Foxtale, Portronics, among others are already using KwikChat as their WhatsApp solution. They also work with large platforms such as Lenskart, Little Joys etc and are in advanced discussions with other such platforms.

“In a short span of time, we are already seeing a 40% reduction in customer acquisition cost and have been able to successfully generate over 3.24 lac leads in just 4 weeks. We are unlocking over two times conversions from abandoned cart recovery. This solution is truly the only solution we need for our eCommerce business and we are looking forward to scaling our WhatsApp commerce with KwikChat,” said Arnav Kishore, founder and CEO, Fireboltt.
